GamECLicKs.com has been online since 1998. It started as a hand-maintained list of the gaming web back when finding a decent review meant knowing which sites to bookmark, and the idea behind it has not really changed: gamers deserve a fast, honest hub that cuts through the noise and points them at what is actually worth their time and money.

What We Publish

The site does four things, and we try to do each of them properly rather than doing twenty things badly.

• The Weekly Drop. Every Tuesday we refresh a console price board covering the PS5, PS5 Pro, Xbox Series X and S, and Nintendo Switch 2, alongside whatever storewide sales are genuinely live that week and the hardware news that actually affects buyers. Tuesday is deliberate: it has traditionally been release day in North America, so a Tuesday update catches the week as it starts.
• Buying guides and analysis. Longer articles working through questions like whether to buy before an announced price rise, which version of a multiplatform game is the one to get, and what a subscription is actually worth against buying games outright.
• New and upcoming releases. A running list of what is coming, with dates we check rather than copy.
• Curated resources. A hand-picked directory of the review sites, news outlets, deal trackers, community forums, and guide databases we think are worth your time. Nobody pays to be on that list.

Two homepage sections pull live third-party data, and we label both: the Top Games rankings come from the RAWG database, and the Hot Deals feed tracks prices across more than 35 PC stores via CheapShark. They are useful, they are credited, and we keep them clearly separate from our own written work.

Who It Is For

Anyone deciding what to buy and when. In practice that means the PS5 owner working out whether the Pro is worth the jump, the Xbox player calculating whether Game Pass beats buying four games a year, the PC gamer waiting for the right Steam sale, and the parent who just wants to know which console is the sensible purchase this month and whether waiting will save money. Increasingly the answer to that last one is no, and we would rather say so plainly than pad an article.

How We Pay For It

The site is free and always has been. It is funded by display advertising and by affiliate commissions, mostly through the Amazon Associates programme. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. If you click one of our product links and buy something, we get a small commission and you pay the same price you otherwise would.

We are direct about this because the alternative, burying it, is what makes readers distrust sites like ours. The commission never decides the verdict. When our own analysis said the Xbox Series X had become poor value at $799.99, we published that, even though every Xbox link on the page earns us money. Our full editorial policy spells out the rules we hold ourselves to, including how we research prices, how we source images, and how we handle corrections.

Getting Things Right

Prices and release dates move constantly, and a stale figure is worse than no figure. Every price we publish is checked against at least two sources and stamped with a date. When we get something wrong we correct it and say what changed rather than quietly editing the page. Readers catch our mistakes regularly, and we would genuinely rather hear about it: the contact page explains how.
